Manuela E. Gomes receives 2013 TERMIS-EU Young Scientist Award at the Annual Meeting of TERMIS-EU in Istambul, June 2013

In the week from 17 to 20 of June, the Annual Meeting of the European section of TERMIS (TERMIS-EU) took place in Istambul, Turkey. On the scope of the meeting TERMIS-EU decided for the first time to attribute awards to scientists, in several categories, that for their work and CV represent excellence in Europe in the field of Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine. One of the categories is the Young Scientist Award that recognizes an individual, who has demonstrated outstanding achievements in the field of tissue engineering and regenerative medicine research, during the early stages of his career with clear evidence of a growing profile. Therefore, in the first year of existence of the Awards, TERMIS-EU decided to attribute the 2013 TERMIS-EU Young Scientist Award to Prof. Manuela Gomes, from 3B’s, for its excellent professional background and CV in terms of research and publications, even at such a young age.
