Ana Isabel Barbosa obtained her PhD in Chemical Engineering from Loughborough University, UK, where she worked on the development of a novel microfluidic platform for affordable sensitive quantitation of biomarkers. In 2015 she joined Capillary Film Technology Ltd, a company responsible for the product development of microcapillary film (MCF) diagnostics tests, as a microfluidic diagnostic scientist.
