5th European Symposium on Biopolymers

“Design, Production & Applications of Biopolymers in Tissue Engineering, Regenerative Medicine, Drug Delivery, Biotechnology and Nanomedicine”

GENERAL INFORMATION ON THE CONFERENCE AND SESSION TOPICS
This is the 5th bi-annual European symposium on biopolymers. These European based meetings, which are however fully international, join together scientists and engineers involved in studying the design, the mechanism of production and applications of biopolymers, exchanging brand new results and ideas. In this particular meeting the emphasis will be on not only on the design and production of biopolymers but also on its degradation mechanisms, as well as on applications on tissue engineering, regenerative medicine, drug delivery, different areas of biotechnology and nanomedicine.

The symposium session topics are:

  • Biopolymers based on renewable resources
  • Biochemical and molecular basis of biopolymer synthesis
  • Biochemical and molecular basis of biopolymer degradation
  • Biopolymers in biotechnology
  • Biopolymers for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine
  • Biopolymers for controlled drug delivery
  • Biopolymers for nanomedicine
  • Advanced applications of biopolymers

The symposium hopes to reach many researchers in the field aiming at increasing the spectrum of research presented and especially encourage young researchers, graduate students, post-doctoral fellows and young faculty members to present their work for constructive evaluation by their peers.

In addition, we are organizing this symposium back-to-back with a Workshop entitled Supercritical Fluid Processing of Biopolymers and Biomedical Materials to which we ask your attention. The workshop will have as main subtopics Polymer processing, Biomedical devices, Drug delivery, Particle formation, Impregnation, Polymerization and Sterilization.
