Glass water still are the most effective and economic method of producing pure water for laboratory use. During distillation water passes trough the vapour phase which presents a particularly effective barrier to the passage of a wide range of impurities. Distilled water is extremely low in organic and inorganic contaminants, and is bacteria and pyrogen-free.
