Universal mechanical testing machine (INSTRON 5540) capable to perform tensile, compression and flexural tests. A high range of specimens, including compact biomaterials, acellular and cell-seeded scaffolds, native tissue samples (e,g. bone or cartilage) and tissue engineered constructs can be tested. Testes can be performed under temperature control (using an environmental chamber) or with the samples immersed into a solution.
