| Abstract Text | Sports activities are increasing worldwide as a pro- moter of global health (Palacios-Cena et al. 2012). Enhanced proprioception and fine-tuned neuro- muscular control around the foot and ankle are par- ticularly required for gait in uneven ground and most types of sports (Cote et al. 2005). This includes fine balance between dorsiflexion- plantarflexion and pronation-supination. General population is presenting increased and earlier attention to foot and ankle tendon-related disorders probably led by their higher functional demand. This fact might play a role in earlier diagnosis of some condition in its primary stages thus also influ- encing the clinical outcome. This is of paramount relevance in the herein described conditions. |
