The 3B´s Research Group – Biomaterials, Biodegradables & Biomimetics from University of Minho, Portugal, www.3bs.uminho.pt) is coordinating a TWINNING H2020 European project (ACHILLES: http://achilles.i3bs.eu) focused on overcoming specific weaknesses in tendon biology to advance the design of advanced regenerative therapies. In the framework of this project, we have organized a series of three international conferences/workshops, in the recent years, with outstanding feedback from the participants.

The Final Achilles Conference will focus on  recent findings and advances and prospects to the future in tendon regeneration will take place in Guimarães, Portugal, from the 25th to the 27th of May 2022.  The conference will be held back to back with the TERM-STEM Conference, organized  in a yearly basis by the 3B’s Research Group, that is scheduled for the 23rd to the 25th of May, this year focusing on "Increasing complexity TERM - From cells to tissues".

The Final Achilles Conference will also wrap up the key results and activities implemented during the project, including oral and poster presentations, networking sessions and round table discussions.  The event is organized for students, young researchers, and leading international experts interested in key aspects of tendon biology and recent therapies for tendon injuries treatment.
