Abstract

The work aims to study the role of magnetic stimulation on the behavior of human adipose derived stem cells (hASCs) laden in hydrogels or scaffolds for orthopaedic TE approaches. We hypothesize that besides the supportive action of a 3D biomaterial, MNPs may be a stimulatory factor being part of the construct. Also, we intend to study whether the applied forces provided by a magnetic bioreactor on the constructs will induce per se a stimulatory effect on cell responses.
